Featured Project: 100MWh BESS Fire Suppression

Client Background

A large-scale energy storage power station in southern Vietnam featuring a 100MWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery system. The facility required comprehensive fire protection across multiple battery container zones to prevent thermal runaway propagation and ensure the safety of adjacent equipment and personnel.

Solution

Designed and deployed a hybrid FM200 + Novec 1230 fire suppression system with multi-zone protection architecture. Each battery container is equipped with independent detection and suppression circuits, early warning thermal sensors, and automatic agent release mechanisms. The system integrates seamlessly with the plant SCADA for real-time monitoring and remote control.

Results

Achieved 100% coverage across all battery container zones. The system passed UL certification acceptance testing on the first attempt. Zero incidents since commissioning, with continuous 24/7 monitoring ensuring ongoing operational safety. The client reported full satisfaction with system performance and ANKUNTAI’s engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
